Do you require proof of Vaccinations?
Yes, WA State requires your dog be current rabies vaccination.
Do you groom all breeds?
I groom small sized dogs only.
Every time I call I get the message. Don’t you answer your phone?
During the day I’m either driving or grooming. My work time is spent one on one with your dog. By not answering the phone the groom is not interrupted, and my attention is never away from your dog while it’s with me. I answer texts and phone calls between grooms and at the end of the day. Please feel free to leave a brief message, or text me any questions you have. I ask that you please be patient as it can take me a few days to return all inquiries.
How much does the grooming cost?
Most grooms fall into the $120 to $160 range. An average small dog in a short trim will be $120, longer and more fluffy all over $130-160. It all depends on your dog's size, coat condition, clip, and whether your dog has special needs.
For substantially smaller short haired dogs that don’t require clipper work (such as Boston Terriers or Chihuahuas) I do discount my price but will need to fit you into the schedule when I’m in your neighborhood.

Do you take credit cards?
Yes. I take all forms of payment. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, checks and cash.
How often should my dog be groomed?
Regularly scheduled grooming keeps your pet not only looking and feeling its best, but is also crucial to your pet’s health and well-being. Since appointment space is limited, I recommend your dog be on a standing schedule of 2, 4 or 6 weeks. This will depend on your dog’s coat length, clip and how much maintenance you like to do at home in between grooms. Keeping a regular standing appointment makes sure that you have the time slot reserved that works best for you. Please understand that due to the nature of the mobile environment, I schedule certain neighborhoods together for efficiency, so I am limited on days when I'm in your area.
Do you have specialty shampoos?
Yes. I carry different shampoos that are used based on what your dog needs. Deep cleaning, hypoallergenic, flea shampoo or smell neutralizing, they are all included within your base price. I’m happy to use a shampoo from your vet with no additional charge. All products I use are all natural, environmentally friendly and made specifically for dogs.
Do you groom Doodles?
I can not accommodate larger Doodles on my small table, and I'm currently full on Mini Doodles.
Do I have to be home while you’re here?
For the first visit, yes. After that we can make arrangements for me to have latch-key access to your dog when you’re not home, either by key or with a garage code. They will need to be confined either to a crate or to one room on their scheduled groom day. I will make sure they have a chance to go potty and text you updates during and after the groom.
Can I watch?
Unfortunately, no. Having the owner nearby can be a huge distraction for a dog which can increase the chance of injury.
Do you need to use my water or electricity?
No, my mobile van is completely self-sufficient. All I require is a fairly flat place to park that has no low branches or wires. My van supplies the hot/cold water, electricity and is temperature controlled.
Will you come to apartment complexes?
Yes, but I will need to clear it first with the management of your complex.
Are there any breeds you don’t groom?
I am unable to accommodate any large dogs such as Huskies, German Shepards , Samoyeds, and Rottweilers.
My dog has bitten other groomers in the past, will you still take him?
No, I am unable to take aggressive dogs. Being a solitary groomer, I must be hyper vigilant about biting dogs. Aggressive dogs are taken very seriously, as they can end my career if I'm bitten on my hand in the wrong place. Grooming shops or mobile units that have more than one groomer to assist would be a better option for you, as well as employing a personal dog trainer to help with behavior issues. I do appreciate your honesty in letting me know beforehand if your dog has been disagreeable in the past. If at any time during the groom your dog shows aggression, I will end the session regardless of whether your dog is finished and full price of the visit will be due.
Do you groom puppies?
Yes! They are my favorite to groom. I specialize in teaching puppies the process, so they will be fine with being groomed for the rest of their lives, regardless of who is grooming them.
I have a super energized dog, how do you groom that?
I love the high energy dogs! After twenty four years of grooming I’m used to the spinning, jumping, jerking, happy, crazy liveliness that comes from high energy dogs.
Do you groom cats?
I love cats, but I do not groom them.
How do I make an appointment?
You can contact me with a phone call or text @ 253.431.3279. I’ll most likely have as many questions for you, as you have for me. The typical questions I will ask you are your address, your breed (size) of dog, age of the dog, what clip you like, and the last time your dog was professionally groomed.
What About Fleas?
Fleas do not live on your dog. They simply jump on to eat, and they live in the environment (your house, your yard). If I see fleas on your dog I will use a flea shampoo to kill what's currently on them, but my shampoo has no residual effect - meaning your dog will be able to pick up fleas again once they are back in your house and yard. I suggest seeing your Vet for a recommendation on eliminating fleas in your environment.
Fleas on your dog require an extra added step of fogging and debugging the salon to avoid any of my other clients coming into contact with fleas. This incurs an add on charge of $40 per visit (not per dog). If you know your dog has fleas, please tell me in advance so that I may schedule you as the last dog for that day, so that I can de-bug the salon before any other dogs are taken in.
It is your responsibility to ensure your dog is bug free before its grooming appointment, and it's understandable if you were unaware, but repeat offenders will not be given future appointments as the risk for contamination is too great.
